  • MADOR: National Initiatives of the Joint Council of Mechinot

A collaboration with the National Insurance Institute’s Manof Fund to implement learning processes that boost professionalism and safety in mechina activities

In the Professionalization and Safety Leadership program, a collaboration with the Manof Fund of the National Insurance Institute, the head of a mechina or mechina branch is provided with advisement for implementing learning processes and bolstering professionalism in mechina activities.

Project goals:

  • Provide directors, staff, and students with tools and skills to manage the mechina and execute activities professionally and safely.
  • Attain the educational goals of the mechina professionally and safely, and train students to lead processes professionally and safely during their military service.

The project seeks to promote a professional organizational culture in all areas of mechina operations. It consists of a structured two-year work process focused on learning, acquiring skills, and implementing change among administrative and educational staff, and through them among their students as they go about activities. The personal advisement at the core of this in-depth process is integrated in the routine of each mechina according to its own particular character and values. The program includes training for staff and students to lead activities professionally and well. This training is complemented by learning workshops.

Two-track implementation process:

  • Professionalism and safety: In all mechina operations, inculcate and implement planning, approval, execution, and debriefing processes in line with regulatory requirements. Impart risk management skills that will serve mechina administrators, counselors, and students in all activities throughout the year. Institute clear, unnegotiable professional standards, and tailor a work plan for day-to-day mechina safety.
  • Learning, identification of lessons, and implementation: Inculcate a learning culture based on debriefings, strengthen team learning routines, implement methodology and language, train leaders for the internal process, and improve outcomes and processes within the organization and its parts.
