What is Mechinat Amichai?

The Mechinat Amichai of Leadership and Zionism Academy has been operating 23 years with the goal of cultivating a young leadership group for the State of Israel in an empowering, experiential, and meaningful program of deepening the Zionist identity, love of Israel, in-depth study, moral work, social action, excellence, and preparation for meaningful service. Mechinat Amichai is operating under the Zionist Council of the world Zionist Organization.

Educational approach

Our goal is to create a platform in which Israeli and American youth will be able to experience a close and direct encounter, by spending the year together as they go through the many interesting and intense adventures allows them to really know each other in the most authentic way.

This year will enable them to get to know another culture through deep connection and identification with the Jewish nation. The students will learn to recognize and understand the differences between the different communities and embrace them.

We will be providing a social network that strives for excellence, responsibility, and leadership.
All of those stands on the annual program that includes seven main pillars: (As for seven-branched candelabrum used in the Temple)
