About the Tavor leadership academy
A 10-month program for high school graduates, prior to their enlistment in the IDF, which works to train outstanding and motivated young people to face the complex challenges of Israeli society.
The activity of the preparatory academy is based on three pillars:
- Significant social activities in the geographical periphery
- Interactive learning of core issues in the fields of society, Judaism and Zionism
- Physical and mental preparation for significant service in the IDF.
The Tavor Leadership Academy is located in two branches - one in the Galilee landscape with the intention of acting and influencing the city and neighboring cities and helping to reduce social and educational gaps;
the other - in Kibbutz Ramat HaShofet, which maintains extensive social activities in the nearby city of Yokneam.
Three values guide us:
Excellence: A high standard of requirements first of all from yourself. Thoroughness and attention to detail, the ability to admit a mistake and draw lessons and a constant pursuit of perfection in execution.
Love Israel: Giving without return, a connection to our history and a full commitment to the Zionist idea and ensuring the prosperity of the State of Israel.
Joy: A positive approach to life, appreciating what you have and not focusing on what you don't have, the absence of giving in to obstacles and difficulties.
We, at Tavor, will challenge and sharpen the full spectrum of your leadership skills, while building together with you, a cohesive and supportive group that will become part of a long and highly accomplished chain of Tavor's students and graduates.
