Mechinat Aderet is a 10-month post-high school, pre-army program integrating participants from religious and secular backgrounds. Machinat Aderet was established in 2001, and operates at three branches, all in youth-village: Ayanot, Ben shemen and Kfar Silver.
The Mechina strives to revive and strengthen the Jewish-Zionist-Israeli values and culture, and to establish a young generation of leaders for Israel and for Jewish communities around the world. We believe that a better future can be built by integrating members from diverse background who embrace mission and responsibility.
In Aderet an emphasis is placed on learning from experience and tasks that include meaningful community work and volunteering, and many fields trips around Israel. When touring the country, participants immerse in the beauty and the spirit of Israel and learn to navigate through the terrain of the Negev and Galil.
Aderet activities focus on learning, community work, field trips and development of strong independence and leadership skills. Members are divided into task forces (Zivtey Messima) and are responsible for each of the program's components, practicing planning, execution, and joint accountability.
