The commander of the IDF Human Resources Directorate regularly holds joint meetings with all of the organizations that help young people with disabilities through the process of joining the IDF, including representatives of Shibolim. This time, Nicky Agayev, a graduate of Shibolim at Mechinat Echad Mishelanu, took part.
Nicky joined the army as a volunteer through Tormim Bemadim, a Gvanim program, and was discharged last week after completing his two years of service. Nicky told about the process of joining the army as a volunteer and the path that he followed to his dream position as a combat fitness instructor. Shibolim is operated by the Joint Council of Mechinot (Pre-Military Leadership Academies) in partnership with JDC–Israel Ashalim, the Ministry of Education, the Ministry of Social Affairs, the Ministry of Defense, the Ministry of Health, the National Insurance Institute Funds, the Ruderman Family Foundation, and UJA–Federation of New York.
